a first for everything.....

Hmm.... This is the first time I (Adriana) have ever created or been a part of a "BLOG"... I have always heard about them..... so bare with me :)

Yesterday was the official 2 month count down! Exactly two months now until the five of us and Bob fly far far away to a magical place (or so I have heard). After about 9 months of fundraising and preparation meetings, it is now just around the corner. It still feels a little far away, but I know its getting close because I can currently feel it in my stomach.....

For the past couple months every time I see a plane in the sky I think about flying away from here. I am reminded that in a little while I will be on a plane flying to the other side of the world, ready or not. Right now when I see a plane it symbolizes a sense of adventure and new beginnings. It also instills a small amount of fear…..

The group of us will be meeting tonight for another preparatory meeting. This evening we have a guest speaker. My understanding is that he is a master of world religions. He is going to teach us about the religions in Africa, more specifically Uganda.

Check back soon! We really look forward to people participating in this blog and reminding us that we have people back home who are supporting us and cheering us on during this life changing adventure.
